About me

A Belgian engineer in electricity, mechanics and agricultural engineering, I enjoyed an exciting career as water treatment and supply engineer before joining the European Patent Office (EPO) at its Dutch site in The Hague.

I worked at the EPO as a patent examiner in the field of surgical devices1 (heating/cooling, stereotactic, laser, ultrasound) and was trained in all aspects of patent intellectual property for both the research and granting procedures. All tasks were carried out in the three EPO official languages (English, German, French).

By the end of 2002 I left the EPO for family reasons and decided to start my own freelance technical translation service. My motivation and main purpose is to provide precise and reliable translations to the technical community. And I will take pride in serving you well!
